Personal data that we collect in order to provide the services offered is collected and stored with your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) of the GDPR.

The personal data collected on this website will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent.

Scope and purpose of the processing of personal data

Visiting the website

When you visit this website, the browser on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website, depending on your settings. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automatic deletion after four weeks:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system und version
  • Details of the request (protocol version, HTTP method, referer, user agent)
  • Name of the requested file and volume of transfered data (requested URL incl. query string, data volume)
  • HTTP status code

This data is collected anonymously and therefore cannot automatically be assigned to a specific person. The processing is expressly not for the purpose of acquiring knowledge about the person of the visitor of the website.

Registering

If you register on GenderOpen to upload your publications, your name and email address and, if applicable, your telephone number, if provided, will be saved. By registering you give your consent to the storage of this data.

A de-registration or deletion of your account at GenderOpen is possible at any time. Please write a message to info@genderopen.de.

Email subscription

If you have selected an "Email Subscription" in your personal account on GenderOpen, we will use your email address to send you automated messages when new publications are available on GenderOpen. By choosing to subscribe to an email subscription, users expressly agree to the processing of the transmitted personal data.

Unsubscribing the email subscription is possible at any time. Either by deleting the email subscription in the GenderOpen account or by sending a message to info@genderopen.de.

Your user’s rights

You have the following rights:

  • pursuant to Article 15 GDPR, you have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information on the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been disclosed, the planned retention period, the right to rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or opposition, the existence of a complaint, the source of your data, if not collected from us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about details;
  • pursuant to Article 16 GDPR, you have the right to demand the correction of incorrect and the completion of incomplete personal data stored by us immediately;
  • pursuant to Article 17 GDPR, you have the right to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless processing your personal data is required in order to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, or to fulfil a legal obligation, or for reasons of the public interest, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
  • pursuant to Article 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of you data if you contest the accuracy of the personal data; you oppose a deletion of unlawfully processed data and choose to restrict their use instead; we no longer need the personal data for processing purposes, but you require them for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; you objected to processing pursuant to Article 21 (1) GDPR pending the verification whether our legitimate grounds override yours;
  • pursuant to Article 20 GDPR you have the right to receive the personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request to transmission of those data to another;
  • pursuant to Article 7 (3) DGPR you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. As a result, we are no longer allowed to continue data processing based on this consent in the future, and,
  • pursuant to Article 77 GDPR you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 (1) GDPR, you have the right to file an objection against the processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 21 GDPR if the reasons for this arise from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, lacking a specific particular situation, you have a general right of objection which is implemented by us.
